For now, Mexico
I recently recorded a video interview with Mike Michalowicz and he said something that blew me away: "Its better to start a business with zero money".

Mike has built up and sold 2 online businesses for millions and is now known as The Toilet Paper entrepreneur. He is a regular guest on Donny Deutch's show "The Big Idea" and he has been featured on Fox News, The Wall Street Journal and more mainstream media because he's so good at showing people how to start a business with nothing!

In this video interview, Mike shows why he prefers to start a business with zero money and why you should too:

Mike Michalowicz Interview On Short Term Cash

I love Mike's energy and his advice on how a lack of money inspires creativity! What do you think?

Yeah, great interviews, but like the others have side, your responses sound contrived.

" I couldn't agree with you more!"

I really like your interviews, just a tip though: You seem really fake when you're doing the interviews. It kinda irks me.

I thought that at first too. He just seemed too excited.

After watching a few though the overly energetic flamboyant intro does start to look genuine and kinda makes me chuckle.

Keep them interviews coming Sean!

Thanks for the feedback!

I'll tone down the interviews and the responses.

On the flip side, if I don't get all excited and animated wouldn't the interviews be more boring?

How could I come off as being less "fake"?

Challenge them a little bit. For instance, "I really like your point about starting a business with zero money, and it gives people with little money hope, but what would you say to those that would argue that having seed money can open doors that wouldn't otherwise be open"?

Remember - these people want to be interviewed as much as you want to interview them, so don't treat it like they're doing you a favor. Just my 2¢ - I really like the concept of what you're doing though.

I would ask questions that might come from the other side of the fence. I would go to Youtube and study how the big network interviewers do it, they always throw in curve balls and ask some hard questions, and yes you should be more laid back.

Awesome feedback! Thanks.

Better questions instead of sounding too excited!

Noted! :)

I thought they canceled the Donny Deutch show back in 2008? Shame though... it made for some great watching.

+1 on the less excitement - more challenging question part..

Definitely some good points to Mike's credit. Having worked with VC backers myself, I would definitely agree that working with zero funding has a lot of benefits, forced ingenuity being one (not having to split your profits and answer to someone else is yet another) :P

Don't be a pussy; pursue your passions. Good stuff. Thanks for posting, Sean.

Glad you enjoyed it.

I can relate as well. I've had hefty bank loans and VC in the past and we just tried to spend out way out of problems!

Smile less and occasionally mutter incoherent sentences at them, and when they say "whaaa?" you stare them down and say "continue on ...."

That, or watch how news broadcaster interview people on TV, and micro emulate their behavior.

Easier starting a business with no money I think is BS.

He's feeding the sheep. I've started numerous businesses. It's always easier and can grow faster with capital.

Also seen a lot of people with capital that didn't earn it and were retards with it and never should have been given it to begin with.

As far as interview style, have you watched 60 minutes? They're not hyper, is it boring?
