So for years I have used various captcha plugins to try and stop spammers giving my sites shit in the forms but have usually had issues with either them causing problems with other plugins or just not being usable - how many times have you tried to work out what those feckin letters are?
The other day I came across one for wp called CleanTalk. It's a cloud based anti-spam and so far it's working really well. No need for anything visible on the frontend, it's all done behind the scenes in the cloud. And it's free.
As they say on their website cleantalk.org
So far I'm liking it, anyone else tried it?

As they say on their website cleantalk.org
- A visitor writes a comment or registers.
- CleanTalk plugin sends action parameters into the CleanTalk cloud.
- Service analyzes the parameters.
- If this is a visitor, the comment will be published. If it's a spam bot, then CleanTalk blocks this comment or registering.
- Parameters are written to the log which can be viewed in the Control Panel service.
