www.iphonefourfree.co.uk
hi to all im very new to all of this and was just wondering is people could take alook at my website and give me some pointers on what i could do to improve it thanks

link is www. iphonefourfree.co.uk had to space as wouldnt let me post thanks

  • Make the header, "The #1 Place for iPhones"
  • Take out that TrafficSwarm.com search bar
  • Work on your sales copy on the home page
    • That first paragraph is terrible. Your website's name is "iPhone Four Free," not "Wii Free" or "PS3 Free," yet you talk about getting a free iPhone 4 next to last...
    • Focus solely on the free iPhone 4
    • The topic sentence of the second paragraph doesn't make sense. Try, "I had never been able to afford expensive gadgets like the iPhone 4. Then I discovered a quick, easy, and free way to get one. By simply filling out free trial offers ranging from DVD rentals to web hosting and design, I went from never having enough money to buy an iPhone 4 to having so many free gadgets, I had to start giving them away!
    • Change every instance of "iphone" to "iPhone"
    • Put the testimonial video immediately after your call to action, which is relatively weak
  • Get higher resolution images for your "How It Works" page
  • Put the image explaining how it works in between two of your paragraphs, and cater your explanation to that image. Right now you have an image explaining one scenario, while you're explaining another
That's all I'll go over right now because you make the same mistakes over and over throughout the website. All in all, it looks very poorly put together. I realize you may not be a web design god, but at least pick a color scheme and stick with it throughout the website.

Right now, everything looks spammy. People are fucking retarded, but even Derp-Derp Donny would give this website a once-over and bail to gnaw on the kitchen tabletop.

I suggest that you re-do the entire thing, your sales copy especially. You don't have to take the super professional approach, but you have to clean things up. You need to 1) tell the reader you're one of them, 2) give the reader a quick story on how you couldn't afford expensive gadgets, but then found a way, 3) explain to them this way, 4) hit 'em with your call to action.

I don't know why I've spent so much time nit-picking your thread, but if you have any more questions, I'll be happy to answer 'em. I'm not a pro, but I believe what I just told you would be reiterated by those who were. Maybe!

wow thanks for the advice no no im glad you nit picked as i say i havent a clue on building websites but at least i can go back to the drawing board with a few tips in mind.
the only problem i can see is im hosting through weebly and they dont really give you many options and im not really clued up on html things

You don't need many options, though. Pick 1 photo per page, since your sales copy is not long on any of your pages. Make that photo high res and something relevant to what you're saying. Or, if you'd like, make it a video.

Make sure shit is spelled correctly. Paragraph breaks are vital. Go work on everything I've said and then come back. Maybe by that time more people will have chimed in with extra tips.

ive took your advice and started re working the site, now im probably still way off your standards but what do you think now am i heading in the right direction i just didnt want to spend all night doing the whole site to be told its even shitter than before

Take out "Welcome to..."

Put some color into your copy. Highlight points of interest and your call to action.

Take out "T&C apply," a simple Terms & Conditions link somewhere on your site that says by using the website they agree to the terms & conditions will do.

Take out the counter on the bottom. It looks really tacky.

Your "How It Works" page is better. However, make the button for it "How It Works," not "How it works."

Merge the Proof Page and Testimonials page. Take out the images on the FAQ.

Dude that site needs so much help I cannot even start.

Go look at other peoples sites that are nice, make your site similar to theirs with out copying it..
