I only recently joined the affiliate marketing game but I know from experience that it's all about who you know if you want to make it in any industry. Browsing though the introductory thread there are a lot of other beginners who want to make it big. Affiliate Summit is one of the best ways to pick up experience, education and contacts in the IM world. I'm surprised no one has brought this up so lets get together and make something happen.
Beginner Affiliates:
There are a lot of opportunities to meetup during the summit, especially if you are like me and only purchased a silver pass. If you are interested post below and see if we can get the number of people interested and we can work from there. Also, what are your plans for the conference? I'm personally researching a list of people who I'm interested in meeting at the conference as well as kicking back and enjoying the sights and sounds of New York.
Experienced Affiliates:
If we get a meeting going would there be any interest from any battle-scared veterans looking to help out a bunch of newer affiliates? It would be amazing to get a mentor to help mediate the conversation so we aren't a band of idiots talking about things we know little about. We can't offer much to your bottom line but I'm sure we will all be grateful for your assistance.
Does the warm and fuzzy feeling count for anything these days?
Canadian Affiliates:
I come from Toronto and our major affiliate meetup group decided to dissolve so I have no local contacts. I would love to hear from any Canadian affiliates who are attending the summit. Even if you aren't attending the conference post anyways it's always good to find out Canadians who are active publishers.
