New Posts Expiry Time

So,

Posting this in the newbie section because obviously I'm doing something dumb. I generally read WF via the "NewPosts" button, sometimes, if I've been away for a fair amount of time, there are pages of posts that show up.

So much so, that I can't get through them without taking a dump or some other distraction means I walk away for a bit before continuing.

Unfortunately, fairly often the search expires which of course means I lose all the posts I haven't read and I'm fucked if I can figure out all the posts I missed.

So, is there any reasonable way to see all unread posts (not since last visit since I've already visited just not caught up) ?

Wow, thanks for reminding me of that one. It's better but doesn't cover what I need.

Suppose I'm unfortunate enough to not read WF for a day or two or worse, or, the 24 hr clock that marks "today's posts" changes and I'm back in the same situation, the search expired screen.

Any other suggestions (helpful ones I mean), greatly appreciated.
