I'm finally serious about getting rid of this website. I've been toying with the idea but now I'm serious. I need to get a idea of what the website is worth and if I should go with flippa.

I have no desire to outsource the work for this any longer.

Domain metrics :

PR 0 (Internal range is from PR0 to PR4)
Page authority : 40
Domain authority 58

FB Fan count : 936
Email optins via Aweber : 7,800

Total Pageviews since August 2011 : Around 600k
Total Revenue since August 2011 : $1,961

The story : This was intended as a JV between me and another guy. I was to do all of the SEO, he was supposed to do all the content. After writing 5 or 6 articles he no longer had interest in maintaining the content which meant I took that role over too.

September of 2011, I SEOed all the way up to #2 for a term that had over 300,000 searches a month. From the period of September through December we received something like 200,000 unique views and brought in $1,200 via adsense. In the very early part of Janurary , some google update took the #2 position down to about #10 and the traffic bled off, from 20k-50k/mo down to 5k or so per month since then.

I have done very little mailing, opens range from 8% to 15% and clickthroughs to content are about 6% to 12% overall (Over about 15 emails I've sent out to the subscribers.)

So , what's the value here?

I just saw your post was not replied to. I would say the domain itself has very little value by itself. I have not looked at your site so I will not put a value on that. Besides what your site is worth is subjective. You may think it looks great and has lots of nice content and features, but a buyer may or may not agree with that. It's subjective for them as well. ::-)

But since your site is generating income, that is something you can count on and that cannot easily be argued. So depending on the other factors (what you realistically think the site is worth, sans income) You should price it somewhere between 3 and 18 months of the income it is making. Listing it for between 6 and 12 months of income would be a good place to start for a quick sale I think. The best guide is to look at the sites that have sold on Flippa and how they were priced. Most buyers are looking at the bottom line first and then considering things like owner equity and future potential.
I hope this helps. Good Luck!
