Was doing some random browsing, and came across this bit of info.

Apparently if you form an offshore company based on Nevis (Caribbean Island), people have to post a $25,000 bond to take legal action. They also need to hire a Nevis lawyer, of which there aren't very many.

Nevis Tax Haven - Incorporate Nevis Offshore Company.

In otherwords: Good luck bros to anyone who wants to sue you, unless they are Oprah or the FTC.

Not something that would be of use to me, but I know some of you get C&Ds more often than junk mail, so thought I'd share.

heh, if you must know, I was looking up the political blogger Guido Fawkes. Apparently he publishes through a company in Nevis, which is why nobody has sued his ass yet.

LoL - I just posted on another thread here about an hour ago about this. My company is a Nevis LLC. I filed it about 5+ years ago. But your right, I think its the "Nevis Limited Liability Act", of I think 95 that requires then to post bond. Whenever situations become to extreme that I cant fix by simple customer support, I throw this card out there and they tend to go away.... If you need any info on it, let me know. I think I paid like $1500 to form mine.

Nevis sounds familiar. Just checked my old ePassporte ATM card (don't know why I still have it), and yep, issuing bank is in Nevis. The owner fucked people out of, god knows how much... in the millions I'm sure.

I remember watching the forums, and people were saying it's basically impossible to find a lawyer to take their case. The owner had already paid for them all not to take any cases.

Holy shit, you mean that if you have enough dough you can hire every lawyer in Nevis (After incorping there) and get away with any scam you want?

There are some REALLY BIG scams out there... Billions to be made... I'd be shaking in my boots if I were a citizen of Nevis, because the obvious retaliation to such a situation is military force.

Obama don't fuck around; yo... Gotta protect his peeps from scammers!

This is so random reading about Nevis on here. I lived on Nevis for 8 months back in 2004. It is a very quiet, peaceful, and safe place. Although there are tons of scams going on from American/Canadian people, the place itself is really religious and the people are for the most part honest.
I remember a gay cruise wanted to dock there and they refused to let them come in.
It's not the place if you want a bunch of bars/clubs there are only a few.

Well that's odd, especially with all the buttfucking the catholic church condones.

Things like this seem all good on the surface but think about it for a second. You want to keep your money in a country that has laws pretty much designed to allow people to commit fraud.

What are you going to do when your bank account just disappears? Suddenly you won't be to happy about the laws they have in place that pretty much make it impossible for you to get it back.

I know more than 1 person that has lost more money than they ever saved by attempting to keep their money in sketchy places around the world for "asset protection".
