Hey all,

I am looking to sign up to a few networks but on all of their applications they ask for my web address, I don't have any sites up yet and am needing to register so that I can begin building my site network and first campaigns around some particular offers.

Should I call the networks to explain my situation or just throw up a quick topical site and try to pass with that?

Thanks you guys

Throw something up and explain the situation. That's what I've done. I've got a domain with no content that I just use for subdomains (LPs, autoblogs, whatever.)

Sent a pm with some helpful hints. Anybody else wanting to get started without having a site just shoot me a message.

NeverBlueAds accepted me back when I had exactly 0 experience with PPC.

The AM just called to verify I owned a website.

I've found that a phone call helps a lot - certainly the networks I've spoken to don't seem worried by the fact I'm a n00b. I think they're more concerned that people aren't trying to defraud them or do anything that would bring their advertisers into disrepute.

When I applied to Hydra, I just had a blank webpage. I told them I was using the domain for landing pages and that it wasn't a full-fledged site. I spoke to them on the phone about it. It was cool with them. As someone said earlier, I think they're more concerned about fraud than newbies.

I think I also mentioned that I didn't have a "real" website when I applied to Copeac, although the sign-up was weird and I somehow got accepted even though I didn't quite finish it.

Neverblueads just accepted me a few minutes after I phone called them and told them about how I'm going to promote the offer and I'm totally newbie. I've called CPA Empire too but waiting for their resp (2 days now, my conv with CPA empire is kind of stupid)

Like, Bofu2u, I just put "ppc affiliate sites" and that works for me. Then when your AM calls you up, just explain your situation.

As someone that has to manually approve accounts from time to time, I can tell you it's just so that there's something in the field in the database.

We're AWARE that most people just want to have a look on the other side and see what the full deal is. The number of sites I see in the URL field that are clearly fake or don't belong to the registrant is maybe about 70% of new registries.
So long as you start a campaign eventually, we don't really care.
Even if you don't, we still don't really care, as we have other people that HAVE started campaigns, ARE making a lot of money (for them and for us) and so we devote time and energy on them.

If and when you start earning money for the network, or at least indicate that you intend to do so, then you'll get some personal attention.
If people email me, asking how to do this and that, I give them my attention because chances are, they'll be the ones earning me and the network extra money, and whilst I live comfortably as it is, I'd like to have enough so that I know I could never work another day and still be comfortable.
