Project seems to have been abandoned.

Churches are great at collecting money but are notorious penny pinchers because of strict budgets. Is it a surprise they can't see the value in buying an Internet directory listing when they are still stuck in the primordial beliefs that gays are bad, women shouldn't be priests, priests shouldn't be married and admitted child molestation by members of the clergy should be remedied with "relocation"?

Churches and non-profits have notoriously frugal budgets, especially on a local scope. I thought this was a bad idea when it first started and I'm assuming the lack of activity proves the idea failed.

Am I right or did they switch to a different domain name or something? Is there an explanation I'm not seeing?

To call the project a failure after only 2 months of actual launch is pretty shortsighted guys. lol

The plans to go back online live comes up at least once a week in our office, because it was not only fun, but we have some neat ideas that nobody else has seems to be using yet.

We probably will not be going straight into churches, however for several reasons:

a. it's really difficult to create leverage for the sales process
b. the typical "member acquisition" model for churches is much different than commercial entities.
c. helping people find the best church for their needs is a gigantic task, and that's really what we wanted to sell.

So, an effective church directory is a pretty large project. Coupling that with all the other stuff we're doing AND trying to make everything live required some retooling.

I'm wrapping up a major project that I've been working on for 6 months, and after it's running on it's own, Robert and I will be back on your computers for sure.

Thanks for asking.

P.S. if you're at ASW hit me up on PM.
