check out the new www.netscape.com

bamastangguy made the front page with one of his stories and with the extra traffic he got,he made nearly $100 just from adsense... I think he only made around $15-20 daily with adsense before the extra netscape traffic.

I submitted a story yesterday and it made the front page, and within an hour or so i had over 600 users on my site from netscape.com.

You would get more users from digg.com if you got on the front page. It just depends whether or not those users would click on your ads.

digg.com only have tech type stories on their front page, netscape will have anything they feel is front page worthy.. the staff select the front page stories.. not by how many diggs a story gets.

Yep, valid point. But even so, If I had the opportunity to get on the front page of digg.com or netscape.com I'd choose digg. But as you said, it's harder to get on the front page of digg.com.

Digg just released v. 3.0, now they have way more sections than just tech.

Won't matter, any none tech stories just get beat down by the digg users.

Well you have to assume the people that run it didn't implment the new sections for nothing, so they are going to want to see them succeed or at least have greater representation than they do now.

So on that basis if they see those categories being pushed down all the time they you would assume they would actively do something about it.

Maybe sub domains will be standard on digg soon

At the moment they're saying the categories are in beta. So when you go to the site it's set to the Technology category as default. You need to click the View All button to obviously see all the new dugg stories in all categories.

Maybe what they'll do is set the View All category to default when the new categories are out of beta. Or they'll leave it how it is and make it a technology dominated site.

Submit to both! :)

It sounds like netscape traffic is actually converting though. Digg is purely traffic (albiet you'll get some nice back links)

with the extra traffic i got from netscape,my adsense never went up more than normal.

I'm still getting more and more traffic from netscape.. i wonder if the links on netscape will increase my PR?
