I got a little cartoon/icon I need done for a site I am launching - it is really simple and size wise and also style wise, it needs to be the same size as that WickedFire flame that is up there -

If anyone can do this let me know

Also if you can hook me up with whoever drew the Wickedfire logo -

I need a picture of a "Monitor" with a cartoon face inside it, like eyes/mouth - eyebrows too!

seoidiot.com... does cartoons but they might be a little too cheesy for what you are looking for. I'm sure he can adapt to your style though.

Is that because you didn't like the fact that I quoted you too much for a Cheerleader character, and also refused to copy the one from the SOS Factory website because I didn't want copyright infringement problems? Or because I then wouldn't cut the cheerleader toon from their website so you could use it on your girlfriends site like you wanted?
Or is it because the other day you asked me to quote on a flat panel screen with a cartoon face, and I was a bit wary, so for a few mins asked a couple of questions about what and why you wanted it (based on the previous issue), and then you turned around and randomly started telling me I was not "ok" and that I must "swing for the other side" ... and that I'm a bit "retarded" ?

YOU, are the one with the attitude problem. I think you need to sort your communications problem out, and stop being such a cheap fucker too! You say you'll pay $, but I know that really what you mean is "I don't want to pay many $".


On a side note. .... John, thanks for the big up. I was happy to hear when a friend pointed me to this forum for this reason, that you'd said such nice things. Have we met/worked together before?
 
I can vouch for Twisted producing great stuff and providing a very professional service. I actually think he undercharges for the work he does and I've told him that many times, but he don't listen!

Twisted, what sort of price do you usually charge for a mascot type illustration?
 
We don't have menu pricing so you really need to talk to my about specifics. I quote every client a specific price for what they need. We may have more detail etc in one image than another ... so we'll discuss that briefly with the client. Means we get the best deal for us, and the client gets the best deal for them.

Nice illustrations!

I usually hate doing straight up illustrations because they take quite a bit of time, and most people don't want to pay for that.

I hope you are charging a decent amount ;)

Well, I love doing it, so I put that before the lack of cash. Fact is ... I have just come out of a high paying job in the videogames industry ... and I seriously don't wanna do another boring life sucking job again like that...

So I'd rather do this :) We don't charge as much as we should really, but we're enjoying it... and that's my main concern! For now. We have other projects on the go which will be shown soon, and is not commission work...
