My Dreamhost account is running out this month and since it's been absolutely horrible with them I need you to suggest me good shared hosting.
My biggest priority is site loading speed. I do not need a lot of disc storage and I don't need huge amounts of bandwidth either.
Here are some hosts I've been thinking about:

-a small orange
- bluehost
-hostgator

Am I missing any good ones? Out of those 3 which one's best?

Thanks guys

Small orange i have heard good things.

But I would go to "web hosting talk" and look at the deals on shared hosting.

Damn.
I've been searching a little on here and hostgator has received some quite bad reviews. I've also tested some sites that are hosted on ASO that I found on their forum and they seem to load very slow. Hosting Zoom, according to some searching, blocks google bot whenever they feel like it (wtf)
I mean there has to be some host out there that has quick loading time and doesn't have huge flaws?

Generally speaking, I rather like site5.com. However, if you're planning a large or even a middle sized autoblog farm, look elsewhere; I've been fighting against their max database connection restrictions ( for an autoblog with 10 domains ). :p While their service is great and I really like having shell access to a shared account, sometimes their technical support can take some time to get back to you.

That said, they're much better than 1and1, godaddy, dotmaniac, im-host.com, or any other hosts I've used. :)

man, no love for the 1&1 - sorry. i've read the nasty reviews, but seems every host has some h8trs. won't recommend them anymore.

I have several sites on Host Gator now and no probs till now. But now planning to mobe to BlueHost.

Not to spam it up or anything but I have a small hosting company (they used to be my host for many of my sites, the owner retired and I was his biggest customer so I bought it from him.) It's nothing special, but it is reliable (most of our server space comes from Site5) and I am willing to trade hosting for services -- graphics, content, directory submission, whatever it is I probably could use it. PM me if you want to work something out.
