KnownHost, my current host, pulled a site of mine offline because someone wrote them and complained about it. I need a new host ASAP who won't cave to legal bullshit unless there is a signed injunction in place.

Thanks in advance :)

I hear namecheap is sloppy about enforcement, unlike daddy who us looking foran excuse to charge outrageous 'investigation' fees.

Can you read Danish? I use netplads.dk for most of my stuff. Owned by a close friend of mine (who also runs the largest DNS hosting company in the Nordic Region)... and unless there is a court order, they will not shut down your site. Take my word for it.

What kind of legal complaint got your hosting yanked? Different places are better for different types of content. If you got a DMCA complaint simply moving offshore (practically anywhere even western Europe) would be enough to keep you out of trouble.

If you are hosting malware/low profile viruses or a high profile site with lots of DMCA type complaints you should move to Eastern Europe, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, or China (A few places in central America are ok as well Panama/Costa Rica). Straight up botnets/viruses go to Iran/Russia (Iran is likely safer but more expensive).

If you are hosting CP I aint helping you with that and I hope your ass gets busted.

The farther offshore you get the more your going to pay for complaint resistant hosting and the less reliable service you can expect (anyone that sells you bulletproof hosting is full of shit it doesn't exist). Western Europe is a great cheap solution to the occasional DMCA complaint as they aren't under US laws, but have cheap hosting (often cheaper than US hosting).

It's a scammer warning website. This guy scammed my buddy out of cash, I set up a website that ranks well for his name, and he sent KnownHost an e-mail crying and they sent me an e-mail saying I had 48 hours to fix shit. I've since switched over to the first link posted in this thread and hopefully won't have any problems.

That is really lame of KnownHost to do. I'm sure the guys in Turkey will ignore any complaints that they get over a scam warning site.
