I was hoping I could have a senior member take a peak at my site and give me a pointer as to why Google will not index more than 100 or so pages of a site that has around 100K pages.

A friend of mine had designed a similar site using Cake, and was able to have much more indexed. His site is no longer available, and my site now is tanking, by comparison.

As far as I know, i've got good interlinking and G should be able to run through the pages - but its not. if any member wants to eyeball it and give pointers, that would be much appreciated. Shoot me a msg and i'll PM the site.

Thanks.

it is. its always been, but however my friend set it up, it was ranking very well in the SERPS - and the current set up is not.

Have you tried building some links to a few of those unindexed pages?

No, and while i know how important backlinks are, I may be restructuring the site soon, so don't want to spend too much time on that effort yet.

When the site was done using my friends version, it was ranking in the SERPS for a persons name as the keyword. Its no longer doing that and I'm hoping I can find out why the issue is and THEN start building the backlinks

I'd be happy to give you some links from 10 or so of my sites in exchange for something else?

IMO all 3 of these statements are the cause, effect and solution to your problem.

CAUSE
I do and it has. however, it only likes to index about 10 of the pages, rather than the 40 i've got listed.

EFFECT

Google will not index more than 100 or so pages of a site that has around 100K pages.

SOLUTION

I may be restructuring the site soon, so don't want to spend too much time on that effort yet.
