Need a program to record audio output

I'm looking for a program that lets me record audio coming out of my computer. Does anyone know of a program that does that? I need to record about 30 seconds

its fairly easy to do that

just go to start -> all programs -> accessories -> entertainment -> volume control
then go to options -> properties , then check record(make sure stereo mix is checked under it), click OK
now, you see stereo mix, check that one.
now to go start -> all programs -> accessories -> entertainment -> sound recorder
and play the sound u need and hit the record button
