Name.com, any experience?

Careful... It says .com domains cost 5.99 for the first year only. How much after that?

I use 007names.com. 9.95/year every year. No surprises.

Hope this helps.

not sure about that.
i just wanna purchase the domain and resell it before it expired.
Thanks anyway.

I don't know what was the reason, but it didn't accept my hostings nameservers.

If in doubt, you should go with the big registrars such as GoDaddy or NameCheap.

Google 'GoDaddy Coupon Codes' and you can easily find one that knocks the price for .com registration and renewals to $6.95 / year.

I've heard good things about them, so I bought three domain names from them a week and a half ago. Transaction went fine, but I'm not at all impressed with the fact that they don't reply to my emails. I guess I'll go somewhere else next time.

So, for Namecheap, do they provide coupons that'll bring the price for renewals/registrations below $8.29 ?

They provide a coupon for higher volume domainers, which I have. However, since they publish coupons each month for plebs it ends up being fucking worthless ( for example, APRILSHOWERS brings the cost of domains for newbies to $8.29 ).

So, anyone know if they have other tiers or is it finanlly going to be worthwhile finding a cheaper registrar ?

Just thought I'd add to this. I've now sent a few emails to Name.com and they have never replied a single one of them. This is extremely poor customer service, hence I will no longer recommend them to anyone, nor use them again myself. In fact, I might write a little comment about this on one of my blogs, just to give my readers a heads up with regards to what they can expect when dealing with this company.

I've got about 200 domains @ name.com, never had a problem.
Emailed them 4 times over the past 3 months, always got a reply.

anyone using ths domain registrat?
5.99 per year pretty cheap compared to others

used em for years.

the domains are never more than $8 a year and has a sweet control panel. I have about 50 domains with them and they are my prefered registrar. none of those annoying upgrade shits with godaddy.

its basically as well featured as enom.

My experience with Name has been positive so far.
Had to call them to change the nameserver information for some of the domains (.sc, etc) - and they did it pretty quickly.
