Ok this is a really n00b question but I never used MySpace but plan to now.

Basically I am promoting something big which I need to reach out to alot of people in the UK - I have the site I am launching soon, I want to make a Myspace version of it where I will get people from Myspace and let them know about my site and the promotion and hopefully get them interested.

So how does Myspace exactly work?

I create the account - Put the info in and personalize the look of the account/myspace page

Then I start doing what? Posting on forum section in Myspace?

Once you have a myspace accound you need to add friends, there is various ways to doing this, you can buy a myspace friends bot which will search for the people you are trying to target and add them as firends. Then you start to send out bulletings messages etc to everyone on your friends list which in theory drives traffic to your site.

Well thats the basic version.

Then I start doing what?

SPAMMING the hell out of Myspace!!

Just kidding... :D

Concentrating on groups, events might be a good way to promote your stuff (depending on what your site is all about)!

Ive never seen so much complete crap stacked up on one site in my life.

Amen brother! MySpace may be a viable market, and I could be leaving money on the table, but it's damn near impossible for me to wade through the worst designed pages in existence and annoying music.

Good luck to anyone that has the stomach for it. If you get a huge network, let me know. I'm willing to pay for bulletins.

I'm trying to target university students in UK -

Yea, I never got to grips with Myspace either Jerxs lol

Most Myspace members live in the States, I am not sure if Myspace is also popular in the UK though! You don't have other popular social networks in the UK? I remember that I asked my dutch friend a few days ago if Myspace is also popular in Holland & he said that almost nobody uses MySpace. In Holland Hyves.net is very popular at the moment:
Hyves.net - Always in touch with your friends

bebo.com is the top social network in UK right? it topped myspace in UK a bit of time back

Damn, you guys are helpful lol

I love this forum!

This forum is like a big juicy pussy just wanting to be fucked!

It's hot! - Damn, I had to much e-crack this morning
