I felt like sharing a bit of info that may help a few of you make more money on FB and have longer last campaigns.

i looked back on some of my past bigger campaigns and realized i left a lot of $ on the table.

Even though I was profitable when bidding at the top of the suggested bid (and got a shit load of traffic) I would have been better off lowering my bid, buying a bit less traffic, but having a higher ROI. (a bit of testing is all it takes to find a balance)

I found this keeps the frequency down which keeps the CTR up longer. I would make almost as much in a day (since it was lower spend but much higher ROI), but campaigns would last a lot longer then when hammering the top spot for a few days straight and the ad slowing down (although you can bid way way below suggested and still get $1000 of dollars of traffic a day).

Something for you to think about anyways, I used to get way to excited and want to spend / make as much the first day of the campaign, not realizing it was costing me $ overall...

i have always gone with bid high get good placement then work on high CTR to reel it back in and as of late I have been experimenting with low bid and still work on high CTR ( which hasn't been as high) to get more impressions could be the images... hope it works will definitely have a positive impact on ROI if I can make it work

good share for newbies like me lol

If a suggested range is let's say $.42-$.56 and you bid at $.25, will you still get volume?

FaceBook Ads have been a Goldmine for me!‏

FaceBook Ads have been a Goldmine for me! I hardly use Google ads anymore... below is the basic formula that I follow when marketing CPA programs on FaceBook.

Obviously, finding the right 'niche' is the first step:

To see what other people are successfully marketing you can try creating a few dummy accounts on FaceBook and see what type of ads show up. For example, try creating an account saying that you are a 35 year old single female. Or a 45 year old married man. Then look to see what type of ads show up. Obviously if someone is willing to pay for the type of ads that show up then those are the type of ads that probably convert the best. Then all you have to do is become an affiliate with a similar company/product and create your own custom ads.

Joining an Affiliate network:

There are many different affiliate networks that you can join.
Two of my favorite affiliate networks is: "EpicDirectNetwork" and "NeverBlue"
It can be hard to get into for some, but just keep trying until you get approved. They have some really good affiliate products.

Finding your Target Market is the next and final Step:

The next step is to create a mass amount of ads on FaceBook. For example, I will normally create between 500-1,000 ads (*Using the same ad*, but targeting up to 1,000 different market variables, Age, Location, Gender, Likes, Interest, etc.) on FaceBook marketing a single product. Once uploaded, I will set a daily budget. Example: ($50 a day). Then I will let the 500+ ads run for usually 5 days (Total cost: $250) and by the end of 5 days I will then be able to see which ads convert the BEST and which ones don't convert well at all. I will then delete all of the BAD converting ads leaving me only the BEST converting ads. Then from this point forward I will increase my daily budget and spend all of my marketing focus on the ads that actually convert well and can bring me great results!

Obviously I don't create 500-1,000 ads by hand. There are a lot of great "FaceBook Ads Manager" programs out there that can do this for you.

The one I use is from adToolBox.com

Good luck!

what was your bid to CPA ratio when bidding what fb suggested? never heard of anyone going profitable going off the suggested bid.

Thanks a lot for tips.Though I am not still there in facebook advertising,I will look to get there someday.

Well if you bid the suggested and get a really good CTR with a decent amount of traffic your CPC will go way down.

There's 2 ways to go about CPC bidding on facebook.

1.) Start from the top, bid lowest suggested min bid. You will get a ton of impressions to start, if your CTR is good, you will start to see your CPC lower significantly, and next thing you know, you are getting the impressions of being the #1 bid, but for a small fraction of the cost.

2.) Bid really low, and get the leftover traffic. This is a way of guaranteeing a low CPC. You still need a solid CTR to continue to get impressions.

I have discovered that FB DO NOT show that attention message about out of suggested bid range if you bid at least half of min suggested bid, so feel free to test it:)

^^^I like that one as well....

Does any fuck around with CPM I've tried it when I first started doing FB ads and was not success with it then...

Though I haven't done anything on FB, I think the ideas here are great. It's got me thinking which is a dangerous thing. No telling what kind of monster it might create.

I want to try doing the FB and POF ads, but unfortunately I don't have a good amount of money to do some testing.
