OK, when you strip everything down to the bare metal-
There are three basic ways to generate income with a million subcategories, im sure.
1. Product
2. Service
3. Ads and Clicks
other ways to generate income not listed?
1. Product. If you have a site that is product based, you have to carry or store product or find a drop shipper. You also have to set up a store that can rotate out the product line and link it everywhere.
2. Service. You have to build a site, links and generate an interest in the service you offer or you just broker the leads and let someone else do the service.
3. Ads and Clicks. You build a site, link it everywhere and hope someone clicks on the ad, the ads will most likely be related to the subject.
If the idea is getting paid on clicks and ads, which seems to be the MO here, then you have to make sure that you are going to get paid by the advertiser.
But this is the basic formula. I know. So in order to "get ahead" in this arena, it seems to me that you have to not only understand marketing concepts but it would be stupid not to also think like a programmer.
The more I learn about web design and programming, the more I see a need to just do it myself. There is alot of bullshit from developers and if you cannot put them in check, you have to take their word. I hate waiting on a web dev guy to complete something unless it is extremely complicated.
The moral of this post is, you have to have a working knowledge of all of the job functions or you are at a severe disadvantage taking someone's word at any leg of the juncture.
This is how I became successful in my business. I knew how to do everyone's job and how to do it better than them out of sheer necessity.
my 2 cents
