I like the machine but really miss the multiple monitor setup of my desktop.

Display Port + External USB video adapter. The USB adapter won't be the best for graphics, but it works good. The was my primary setup for a long time.

They are made to work with the displayport and not with the thunderbolt they are suppose to have new ones coming out for that.

do you have one of the new ones with lightpeak/thunderbolt? if so you can just daisy chain a bunch of compatible monitors

this thread is relevant to my interests. I have 3 monitors, the cinema display, and a tv. I need to hook up at least the tv and cinema display to the macbook pro. Ideas?

That youtube video looks pretty cool. I know freaky1718 has suggest the 2 video adapters but it is pretty costly. Anyone have a better recommendation for a 2 slot video adapter that costs around the 100 bucks range?

i've run as many as 3 on my (not new but still awesome 17" macbook pro - it has DVI port so that's no one, then yes what i use (and it surprises me how well it performs) is these USB boxes - see macsales.com where i get stuff - here is the page:

i have a few of these - for 49$ each you can get 2 and drive 2 more monitors if you really want 3 in addition to your laptop itself....

they aren't amazing with photoshop etc. but not as bad as i expected - totally fine for having loads of data on display at once - i run windows 7 in parallels full screen on a ded. 24" inch samsung....

i'm not sure if there are cardbus34 video cards - i have a 48gb ssd in mine for startup - but you might want to google around if you need something faster that might work

I used 2 external 22" monitors and they don't have to be apple.

It should work with any monitor, I've used macs with just regular monitors.
