Moving hosting & registrar

OK so I registered domains and did my hosting with GoDaddy blah blah blah I need to move to a different registrar (namescheap) and get onto better/faster hosting (host gator).

How will this effect my SERP ranking ?

How much downtime can I expect ? I've heard GD take their sweet time and cry about you moving registrars.
 


Get your new hosting and setup your sites on the new host. Then update the dns at GoDaddy, cancel the hosting and start domain xfers to namecheap. It should then all be done and dusted in a few hours or so. (Excluding downloading/uploading of sites.) The domains will also take several days to fully xfer across, but there will be no downtime if done correctly.
