Do you guys think it's worth it to pick up domains of movie sequels with the number spelled out? For instance, if I got wind that a sequel to "blow" was being made, might it be worth it to register "blowtwo.com" if "blow2.com" was already taken? I would of course develop it as something unrelated to the film. Just an example. I don't really know if there is any sort of type in traffic when it comes to numbers spelled out. Thought you big domainers might know. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated!

I don't think the number typed out is really going to see traffic unless it is an insanely popular viral movie site, in which case, it would just be another typo. Instead of going with "two", "II" would probably be more common.

Good luck grabbing decent sequels. I know people monitor places like IMDBpro and as soon as an actor/actress of any importance is a part of a project, people are snapping up the relevant domains if available. I got a really good one once (it was getting daily traffic), and then a few months before release, they changed the title.

Funny that you mention it, I just signed up on IMDB pro and started looking around for stuff in development. I grabbed one that I couldn't believe was available, considering the people attached to it. And the title is the name of the book its based on so it's fairly likely it will not change. I guess now I just wait to hear from their lawyers!

Good luck with that, it can definitely pay off for big movies (especially considering the investment). I used to register plenty of these names and never heard from a lawyer. I guess they just don't care for the negative publicity.
