Just heard about this from a friend...washed up in Montauk (eastern long island).

Theories of what this thing is have been...

-Bird-dog
-Satan
-Turtle w/o Shell
-Science Experiment Gone Wrong

I tend to think it's a Science experiment gone wrong...the cloth tied around it's right arm makes me suspicious

The first thing I thought when I saw this was "Viral marketing campaign for Cloverfield 2"

I don't even know if they're making a Cloverfield 2.. but I wouldn't be surprised if this is some sort of viral marketing campaign. That or simply a semi-decomposed dog.
 
I saw this on t.v. a few days ago (after it was on Digg) and scientists found it was a decomposed dog.

The picture was just taken at a weird angle. The video I saw is much better and it clearly looks like a dog.

Do you have a link to this video? It has fins, and a beaked snout...so i'm curious to see this vid. I do tons of Photoshop work, so i've also entertained the idea that is a hoax...but still curious.
