Moniker spamming emails

This is liek 3rd tiem i get message from them in spam folder. its sent to domain registration contact info. their business runs really that bad?

I run the brokerage division at Moniker.com – a top 10 ICANN Accredited Domain Name Registrar here in the U.S.

We have a registrant that submitted the domain name *****.com to Moniker | SnapNames to be brokered or auctioned and I thought your organization might have a unique interest in acquiring the asset.

Please let me know if you have any interest in acquiring the above domain name, or if there is someone else I should be dealing with in your organization, and I will forward further details including the minimum amounts the current registrant will consider and answer any questions you have.
 


there is no link to anything spammy in those email just pure info that snapnames has auction to similar domain that i have in toher registrar.
id smell scam but theres no link as u see just pure info.

i also checked headers and they seemed legit.
 
Hearing lots of complaints about moniker and I'm one of them. Can't login to manage domains and I'm seeing the same thing being posted by others in various fora.

i let a domain I purchased a while ago expire because of failed billing
they sold it (funnily to the person I bought it from), but didn't even notify me that billing failed.
I asked their support and they said (after maybe 5 support tickets and 2 weeks) that its not their business to notify me, and I should always check my domains renewal dates myself (why automatic renew then??)

and now yesterday
I tried to register 2 .ch (i basically just use them for tlds) domains with them, they charged me for it but the regsitration failed.
I found through domaintools the names were not available and registered since 2008 and 2009.
but they kept the money anyway, no reply from support neither

just 50$ but wtf

so sorry for bumping an old thread
but fuck this company
i used to love them, and snapnames, now I find them just incompetent and would go as far as fraudulent

ps to be on topic i get these emails too, them i didn't mind, I bought lots of domains from them with snapnames before (like the one they sold)
