Pages that are mobile friendly could get a rank boost to those searching with mobile devices, which is about 50% of internet traffic now.
Official Google Webmaster Central Blog: Rolling out the mobile-friendly update
Anyone notice any difference today? I am still holding all my positions in SERPs for mobile devices despite not being mobile friendly... seems to me like this will be a slowly implemented into the Google algo it won't be an overnight shuffle.
scrambled like fuck to get the designer of my main money site to make it responsive before the 21st
buddy charged me $x,xxx too, milking the deadline situation
my shit is basically the same as before but with a "mobile friendly" sticker slapped on it on the mobile search
sad part is that i get like 10% mobile traffic with 0.2% conversion
Wat?
It's been implemented across a week or whatever, possibly longer.
GWT data for impressions is a few days behind.
If you've heard of this update or are a remotely competent SEO person you've had this covered months/years ago. There's no need to over analyse anything at this stage or worry. Dig into it in 2 weeks or so.
He is letting us know he wasted money for nothing. Im surprised most people have to scramble. Web design has been responsive focused for the last 4 years or so?
I'm not sure how this is a thing. Every little spam wordpress site I've seen or whipped up in the past several years has been responsive.
