Hi,

I'm in the process of building a site that will have affiliate links (amazing, right!). And I will be getting alot of traffic from mobile. So my question is:
If a user lands on my site from a mobile device and clicks on one of the affiliate links however doesn't buy immediately but decides to do it tomorrow on his PC. Will I still get credited for it? I guess not since the cookie has only been dropped on mobile, right?

Enjoy the girls if you think it's a stupid question...:smilie_weihn_winki:

I would like to learn about this also.

I think there's many factors with mobile: the role of cookies with your advertiser, the mobile OS, wifi on/off, location, etc. I really don't know much about mobile advertising, so someone else can probably give more insight.

I doubt it really. How would the cookie transfer from the mobile to PC ?

Yeah, kinda thought so. This sucks actually. Because I think people are still a bit sceptical when it comes to buying things per mobile, especially when the items are 100$+

"Will I earn advertising fees if a user clicks on a mobile-optimized web link and then purchases an Amazon EU product on their PC?

Yes, if the user added the item to their cart after clicking the link on your mobile-optimized webpage. An Amazon EU associate receives credit when a customer adds an item to their Amazon EU cart after following a tagged link, and purchases that item from any device within 89 days. Unfortunately, we cannot pay advertising fees on cross-device activity if the user does not add the item to their cart."

Accurate multi-channel and multi-device tracking is a big issue in online marketing generally. Fb and Google are trying to solve it by tracking when people are signed into accounts but that's not foolproof either.
