Microsoft takes over Yahoo

Yahoo might be buying internet innovator geocities. Man, will anyone ever be able to compete with Yahoo, they're like so far ahead of the competition, they practically are the internet.

The Yahoo! Site Explorer team is planning tighter integration between Site Explorer and Bing Webmaster Center to make the transition as smooth as possible for webmasters. At this stage in the transition, it is important for webmasters to continue using Yahoo! Site Explorer to inform us about your website and its structure so you keep getting high quality traffic from searches originating on Yahoo! and our partner sites – even from markets outside the US and Canada that haven’t yet transitioned to Microsoft systems. To keep things simple, we will share site information you provide on Site Explorer with Microsoft during this transition period.
When Microsoft fully powers the Yahoo! Search back-end globally, expected in 2012, it will be important for webmasters to use Bing Webmaster Center as well. The Bing tool will manage site, webpage and feed submissions. Yahoo! Site Explorer will shift to focus on new features for webmasters that provide richer analysis of the organic search traffic you get from the Yahoo! network and our partner sites..

We'll just have to wait and see if this is a good thing or not....

already noticed changes to SERP. i lost a no.1 ranking for a key term about a month back when yahoo started using bing's search results

They have done some testing recently whereas i have seen my bing ads appear in place of the yahoo ads. Make sure you keep an eye on things as they did not provide any warning.

(Note: they did mention in an email to make sure you watch your campaigns closely over the next few weeks as they continue to test).

I just transitioned my YSM accounts over to adCenter. One YSM campaign had some .05 min bids. They got jacked up to .10 on adCenter. All imported ads and keywords are under review. One of the campaigns was initially disapproved a few weeks back in adCenter, but sailed through on YSM. Now it got imported into adCenter again and is awaiting approval. What are the chances they approve it I wonder.
