Say for example I have a server in the Netherlands, is there any way I can get a US ip while hosting in NL? There obviously is a way but I'm just wondering if it's easy to do...

Quite possibly, just looking for information on it. I'm sure there have to be some big companies around the world who do it...

Depends what you wanna do.
If you have a server in several different locations you can just tunnel through them all over the world.
