I like this idea of an upsell brick.

Sure, initial loss on having to pay for the peoples windows, but you can upsell them on stronger windows that "save you 7% on your gas bill", bars on windows, a full on home security system, maybe turrets in the front yard that are motion sensor so the fucking kids stop throwing bricks through your front windows.

Could work.
