Making contacts on the cheap.

There are many ways to find good programmers, and web designers, charging huge prices.He is away to get them on the cheap.

Here is what i did.

I wrote out a small advertisement on a card, for a graphic designer.putting my phone number on the card.

I then placed the add at my local college,on the college board.which cost me nothing.(some places do charge for advertising)

I got some calls back, i made a deal with one student to design a header for one of my sites for my offline business.The deal was for him to do it for no money,and in return i would let him use my site for his portfolio,and to recommend him to others.He now recommends me.

I have done this many times,with diffrent things and it's a good way to get
connections and stuff done for free.

I don't think i am intelligent, and i might not know much about online marketing, but i do know how to run my offline business.I don't have a online business,as of yet, but only a website for my companies.

All my work is done offline at the moment, but i will be building a online company soon.I also advertise jobs at colleges.

I don't see the problem with getting students to work for me,and it's away to see if they would fit in with my business.

I own a printing company,and paul now works for me in my company,as a designer,i did the same thing with a progammer,to write a small program for my business.

Anyway i don't have to explain myself,to anybody.

But what i said worked for me, and i can't see why it won't work for others,who have businesses,online or offline.

Can't speak for the UK, but that's now illegal in most of Canada, because there were too many people like you running around offering "internships", offering people invaluable experience by getting in on the ground floor of a start-up.

Those people now get sued.

My father done printing for richard branson,mackintosh,record covers with in the music industry back in the 60's and 70s in fleet street,and i still have all the invoices.Things are diffrent now and the printing game is near to extinction,and we are no more in london,but a small hand printers for photos,booklets.

A year or so ago i started trading in publications,as a sole trader and working towards becoming a ltd company,this is the reason why i am trying to learn internet marketing and grow my businesses.I need a internet presents,for my publications,which i print.

So my experience,and my integrity are in tact.You may know about running a online business,which i need to learn.But to say i am exploiting people is just outrageous.

Doesn't seem any worse than an investment bank hiring interns for the summer to do all of their bitch work, slaving for long hours, no pay, all summer long at merely the chance to get a real job from it later (most do not get accepted or called back for a paying job).

When you have someone telling others to slap the old link building method in a ebook and sell it on wafo, you get the "huehuehue" reaction all around. Many would also accept ownership of Zynga, a company that sells virtual potato seeds for real money, in a heartbeat. But if you use cheap students as workforce, then that is a completely different thing, right ?
