Looking up backlinks

Is there a good free service I can use for looking up backlinks for my competition?

Also, are there any backlink logs available that I can watch my site's progress with over time?

Check out MajesticSEO, it's a free website (got to register, which is also free) and you can find out how many backlinks a competitor has, top back links, top pages, backlink breakdown etc

Also Market Samurai Trail (it's 30 days free), and you can see all information you'll ever need

Ahref.com is also free and shows the links and anchor for any site.

You may try with backlink watch by SEOMoz... But it has some free access limitations. If you are paid member, its a good tool for backlink tracking.

There is no free good service :/ If u want to see all links/anchors/scores u need to pay.
