Hi! :bigear:, am looking for web hosting services for my site which is build in drupal, anyone suggest

i really like softlayer (for dedicated) and slicehost (for VPS). dreamhost has been okay for shared (don't expect much from shared anyways) but they have HUGE storage allowances, so it's great for doing rsync backups from all your servers.

Hostgator seems like good value at first glance. Hey Lazy I reside in UK too!

Whereabouts are ya mate?

I've heard good stuff about softlayer too - I was just looking for a bargain when I got my dedi, don't need another yet and it's hassle to move.

From London mate, how about you?

I had a look at softlayer for dedicate before, and I am quite confused by their pricing and info. How does one set up a didicated server? Is there somewhere I could read up on this?

Down the A3 - South Coast, near Portsmouth.

If I remember correctly Softlayer only do managed servers (might be wrong there though), so they'll set it all up for you. From what I've heard their support is really good too. I went for an unmanaged one and got management for the first month to get things setup as I wanted to learn how to administer a server rather than pay 30 quid more a month to have someone do it all for me.

WebHostingTalk might be worth checking out, there's loads of deals and special offers on there and you'll prob find good info on server setup etc there too.
