Yes LE forums can be an epic fail if not managed properly however if you can get the right kind of people in swapping links it can be very usefull and as we all know links are about 90% of any successfull seo strategy.
Dont get me wrong recip links are dead, but i have successfully used 3 way linking to achive No1 positions for several of my sites. Up untill now i have used mainly another forum which most of you will also know has a very active LE forum. However the sheer amount of crap on this site and sometimes even crapper users means it can take for ever to get good links.
My feeling is that since WF has a much higher calibire of user and a much lower tolerance of douches then the exchanges will be much better too. Just an idea. C
