Anyone ever get this kind of email? Basically the domain name has very well known company included in it, however I have not developed the domain whatsoever, it's just sitting idle. I looked up the contact/complaint information provided and it's definetly a lawyer. Just looking for any advice here. Obviously I'm going to turn over the domain if that's what they want. And yes I'm a bit of a lurker. :anon.sml:

its a pretty standard email, it just means domainsbyproxy got a complaint about you. They probably also charged $20 to your paypal account for recieving it. You just have to make some form of contact with them. I like to call after hours and leave a message on their machine telling them to call me back then forget to leave my phone number.

Maybe not the smartest of tactics but they designed the system not me.

Drop the domain and give it to them, best advice I can give. If you want to ask a few more questions go over to the legal section at Namepros.com forum, they are very knowledgeable there and will help you if you really feel like you have any chance of having a legal leg to stand on.

Good Luck

If they want the domain they can have it, I just don't really care to be sued for "damages". I just called them up and left them a message, but I'm assuming I probably won't hear anything until Monday.

Just follow the instructions you've been given and then agree to transfer over the domain to them, sometimes they will even offer to pay you a little change for your hassle ( rarely ). I've never heard of any legal action being taken if the person just handed over the domain and the domain hadn't been engaged in any type of profit earning based on the TM.
