Lee is selling one of his sites

Is it me or does anyone else see just how fucking convinient it is that he sold it for $145k (his total BIN) to a "private" bidder, even though it was making under $8k a month!! Not to mention the overwhelming information on the RIAA cracking down on sites like this..

Why would he pretend to sell one of his sites, he will probably just reject the big and cancel the sale and be screwed everytime he sells the site again

I believe someone made a fake BIN bid on sitepoint. And trust me, it's not me. He immediately edited his post after I told him that wasn't the right thing to do.
 
It's possible he received a much lower bid and due to all that's going on about the sale decided to sell it at the lower price. Then he could have put up the fake bid just to sort of show everybody off. I'm not saying he did or would do it - I just like conspiracy theories.
 
As if he would lie about bids, also most the high priced sites sell to private bidders.
And Jon didnt you pay around 40k for a site with less then 1000 a month revenue? Why is 145k for 8k/month revenue so hard to believe?
 
I'm not saying he's lying about the bid, all I'm saying is that someone on this forum said he'll be making a BIN bid just to piss him off, that's all.
 
Maybe he really is that good?

Lee is very tallented and thsu is able to produce money online almost effortlessly. Instead of constantly hating why not try to make more money yourself?

Well i dont buy that the site sold for 145k,,, most sites sell for 10-12 months of rev, and with that site possibly getting shut down or legal implications,, well not sure....

As for why do people dislike Lee so much,, hmm,, maybe because he is an asshat.. Just my observation though.

Yea that was awhile ago. Lee copied the contest or something like that. I think Jon exgerated the severity of the situation though from the details.

as of now, Lee, Shoemoney, and Jon are the three big names of internet publishing and monitization. Aaron wall & and john chow also make a lot of $$. Sure be nice to make just 1/5 as much money as any one of them
