I've been putting this off forever, but I've found that I can't anymore.

It's time to get a business-only landline. I'm sick of using my mobile for both personal and business stuff.

I had Comcast internet and cable before I moved to Atlanta and it sucked. When I moved, Dish Network or DirecTV couldn't get a signal at my house and so I had to get Comcast again. Surprisingly, they've been pretty damn good for the past year or so.

So now I get this thing in the mail today for "Comcast Digital Voice Unlimited" for $19.99 plus $100 cash back (whatever that means).

Unlimited Local and Long-Distance Calling, caller ID, call waiting, 3-way calling, call screening, online voice mail, etc.

Anyone else have this?

I know that you can't trust something like this for emergencies since if the power goes out, so does your router and then so does your phone. However, all I need it for is for business calls during the day so for $20 a month I may give it a try.

Feedback appreciated.

I have it and really like it. They hook you up with all the options you'll need, it's clear always, and long distance is free to the US and Canada.

Another option - Virgin has a new VOIP service that they were trying to sell me the other day. I haven't tried that but it sounds pretty decent too.
