I needed to space out for a while, so I watched it.
The universe is one giant living organism. So are the planets. Our myths and religions are interpretations of this truth, and of cosmic events. In pre-history, humanity lived in harmony with the Earth. But a cataclysmic event caused the great flood. This disrupted our shamanistic rituals and we fell out of harmony. Since then, a specific group of bloodlines which every major world leader has belonged to has ruled over humanity. This same bloodline has systematically wiped out all remaining shamanistic cultures. They are able to rule over us because our ego feeds on fear, which they fill our lives with. This causes our psyche to split and our ego lives in discord with our "true self." The remedy to the world's problems isn't violent revolution, but regaining internal harmony between the ego and our "true self."
Siskel and Ebert give it two thumbs down. Would not watch again.
