Korn Singer Jonathan Davis, Miley and a penis cake

I like how TMZ is trying to spin this off as crazy, using language like "and suddenly it was all aboard the crazy train." and "nuts? right?" Called him crazy twice within 50 words or so.

All he literally said was "The government directs the big media corps to focus on dumb shit to distract the idiot public while they pass laws that take away our freedoms."

There's no conspiracy. That's precisely what's happening. Except the mass public wouldn't focus on the real issues anyways, so it's all good. ERMAGURD Miley Cyrus simulated riding a cock on a fake caddilac with spinners on stage while wearing a marijuana spandex uniform!!?!?!

Laws are definitely put / being put in place so the martial law switch doesn't even have to get switched any more. But I did see Miley Cyrus' butthole, so my life is complete anyway.

The government isn't "directing" anything. That shit is what sells magazines and gets ratings so that's why they do it. The problem isn't the government controlling media it's that people are generally stupid.

Isn't this a bit of an paradox?

"Quit paying attention to the entertainers!" - Entertainer

Edit: Paradox not oxymoron

The government sends out media packages for things that have to be read word for word, certain video footage or pictures shown, etc.

But yes, stupidity sells. But yes, the big media companies have to comply when daddy says to jump. And they do. And it's fact.

No one buys magazines anymore and when you see web articles about the stupid shit Miley, Kanye and the Kardashians many people go straight to the comments without reading the artcile or clicking on the page ads. The stuff being stuffed down people's throats every day only turns them off to the media; personally I wouldn't be surprised if people started ignoring the media as a whole across the board.

And you're right, the gov't can't micromanage propaganda on a daily basis but they do have the ability to steer it.

People are dumb because they don't question things. Doing so doesn't make you a tinfoil hat wearer.

Micromanagement flows downhill.

All the gov't needs to do is micromanage station owners, who micromanage station managers, who decide what will be put out on the air.

A captain doesn't steer the ship himself, but through various channels he still directs the ship to exactly where he wants it to go.

Let's see if anyone can guess the similarities between the back of the dollar bill and the music industry :)

Not only that, but news stations routinely present advertisements as "news stories." People get upset about flogs and such, yet your local news station will regulalry get paid for features that pretend to be news. A new bakery opened on 15th street? Holy shit, let's get the mobile action team out there!
