Well most everyone one knows I am new to IM and WF!!! I love the boards and have learned heeps from yall. SO 2 days ago I decided to start my own sight just to have my own place and full around pop my cherry wateva. I was feeling like I was ready to tackle the world. <This is a Hillbilly with No education likes to rope goats and drinks cheap beer> So most everything I have read in the last 2 weeks prolly 40% of it actually stuck. Between 2 kids under the age of 5 reading could be a whole nuther animal ya digg. Well to make this not go on to much longer.... Lets just say Building a web site is not the easiest thing in the world if you know shit. A lot of time and nothing accomplished, even though i have faith that i will 1 day to be semi decent with web design and lay out. This actual computer work has been kicking my ass. I even drew the design out on a peice a paper so i have blue prints. Thinking of copying all my notes and my crazy ass looking drawings and call it the Hillbilly Ebook. But with atleast reading i didn't curse nearlly as fuckin much. Just want to tell Krisidious THANKYOU very much for dealing with my hic ass on Vent and explaining most of the basics for a web site. glad i found this forum its the only one i have stayed around and felt like i Wanted to be apart of the community. Even though it sucks and not as cool as it was a year ago. Anyone is welcome to get on Ventrilo if you are bored,mad,happy wateva. Hit me with a pm ill send info.


Wont say i will keep a thread saying hey im going to start this and keep it updated. Had to throw my thanks out there and take a break and smoke a doob then ill go back and fuck my website up somemore. i need some poon....

www.oswd .org - remove the space. go there. there's tons of free layouts to use already made. it'll help cut out the things you don't need to spend weeks on, like learning web design and stuff.

I too have two kids under the age of 5
I live on an island in maine and drink hurricane ($.99 for 24oz of 8% lager)
I ran cat5 out to my shed where I make websites on a crap computer (to avoid the insanity in my trailer)
I am using frontpage 2002
I copy stuff i wrote down on paper onto my web pages, and somtimes etched on scraps of wood if there's no paper

A week ago I turned my first profit, $1.96

Yet, making websites in an uninsulated shed is far the most exciting thing I've found in a long time. Hey man, congrats and I wish you the best of luck.

This website is awsome, I don't like the other ones cause they are just too damn nice. It just doesn't seem natural that way

One of my best friends from the military was from Maine. After knowing this guy, I know why they call you guys "Maine-iacs!" I think he was from Greenville or something like that.

As I said before, even though we live in the same state, we are worlds apart.

In my defense though, I have the most high tech shed (often called workshop) on the island, i have:

Marine Radio
CB (the preferred method of communication)
Satellite TV
Cable
Phone
Electricity
DSL

Ahh Haaa Chatmasta, I bet you don't have a CB in your livingroom

Yes, sir, Though nobody around here uses those kinds of formalities though. They just use it like a community telephone.
 
Cell phones work around here, I still have a CB though...

I live in the place that used to be the Egg capital of the world.... At least my hick town has some claim to fame.. Your redneck town sucks..
