Was reading a few of the earlier threads on these drives and finally caved.

K one thing I really hate doing, is re-installing an OS and any other apps and shit whenever I need an upgrade. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I just picked up the Intel 320 80gb SSD the other day. Shit is so dope.

One thing I would recommend, if anyone doesn't want to reinstall anything (like me), get this: Paragon Paragon Migrate OS to SSD - Overview

Best $20 I spent in a while.

Plug in SSD.
Run Paragon (pick which partition to migrate even if you have multiple on one drive, most migration software does NOT let you do this as they only migrate whole drives)
Reboot
Change Boot Priority to your new drive
Bam, back online with everything as it was before, just a lot faster.

Only thing is don't forget to adjust backups if you run any since if you're still planning on using the old drive for storage your drive letters might change.

I think everyone that posts on this forum is currently in the market for an SSD haha

Been on an SSD for a week...can't believe I didn't do this upgrade before. 100% worth it.

Went with a crucial m4 for my macbook pro

256MB for my SSD, and 500gb for my hard drive.

I removed the optical drive (the cd drive), put the old hard drive there, and stuck the SSD where the old hard drive use to be.

The OS and apps are on my SSD for super fast loading. The old 500gb hard drive is for my tentacle porn and guru dvd's

Just put mine in today. So fast. It took 7 seconds to copy OSX from my flash drive to the SSD and it's been smooth sailing since. Also worth it to do a clean install and clean out the crap on your computer. Good luck bros.

Got a 120GB ssd arriving tomorrow then will have 2x 1TB storage drives in a Raid 1 & truecrypted.

just upgrated from pata to sata, amazing, cant believe i took so long to upgrade. can boot into windows from 3 minutes to 2.5 minuytes!!!
