Just took the plunge and bought a Mac Book.. so far so good.. got all my apps working from the Win PC side

The mac is just for on the road, I will still use my Win PC as my main

The mac is just so small and light.. its also fucking HOT.. I can pimp hunnies with this YO!

Any other mac users on here? Anything I should know? Cool apps etc

No, really, I mean Mac's are ok... I just don't feel comfortable around them... must be all that "closed architecture" stuff (:fart:) :ak:

This little mac eats my main PC with performance

Back off, I dont use those chairs - my area of the office is the far left. Although those chairs are really comfy - they flex around your back... aah heck who am i kidding..

i dont use em so dont give a fuck, my coder and graphic designer use them. Torture to keep them on top of things..
 
You might like macrumors.com and macosxhints.com.

Software - BBedit, Interarchy ftp (although you can use the finder), Stuffit maybe, dvd2one, mactheripper, azeurus. If you want particular type of app I can tell you what I like. There are some cool widgets, I like the theatre listing on and the weather radar. You can print straight to pdf so don't bother with Acrobat unless you need more features. Use the keychain, it will simplify your life. The terminal is great for unix stuff, deleteing stuborn files (be careful), pinging, etc. Clean your mouse by rolling it upside down on some tape, they don't come apart and go back together. Lear a bit about where to put your fonts, there are several places they can go.

My grandpa loves his mac. And that is actually true, he never learned how to use anything else. He probably doesn't even know what graphic design is.
 
Actually, I am not a Mac hater. A Mac is just a computer, it's even OK. I am a "macie" hater. Stupid idiots who think they are the shit cause they bought a "design" computer for 3 times the price it's worth.

Worst ones are those who'll start an OS war with me while having absolutely NO FUCKING CLUE about what a computer is, what an OS is, what this "code" is I am talking about, et etc... :repuke: Dipshits. Strangling them with the WHITE cords of their iPod would be doing everyone a favor.

But... ya gotta hand it to Apple, the new Macs are getting more and more useful.

True, goes both ways, and what's the point really. Is a Mac person gonna convince a PC user their machine is crap and vice versa? I don't think so. Threads like that go on and on and nothing useful ever comes out of it.

Nice mailbox, a little flashy, but nice.
