I just finished Jim Rohn's program "How to Use a Journal" and it was enough to get me started on writing regularly.

It helps you dump your mind out (GTD style) but also allows you to leave behind something tangible for your kids to read one day. They'll be able to see the challenges you faced, things you struggled with, your hopes and dreams, frustrations, philosophical questions, etc.

For $39.00 you can buy the program and it comes with a nice leather journal. (How to Use a Journal by Jim Rohn - Includes Leather Journal [JR940-023] - $39.00 : Jim Rohn International)

I have been using a hardcover Moleskine journal, which has been convenient. (Ruled Notebook - Large - Moleskine ® English)

Who else uses a journal of some sort?

I dont have a daily one.
But have weekly reviews, and I do drop all my ideas on paper. I have a notebook on me just about all the time.

I just finished... BEING A CUNT!

LOL... this asswipe is trying to start making useful posts!

Anyways, I use this cutting edge system called a fucking pencil and notepad. Using the GFTDYC method of rudely barking orders down the phone at my PA, I manage to maintain my business and my asshole persona.

Jim Rohn was a pretty good teacher. I don't have product you mentioned, but I journal. I get a lot out of it.

Definitely write a journal, it only takes 1 minute every night to capture the essence of the day you had. Best reading you'll have down the road too, no path is more important than the one we came from.

I have used a journal in the past, but generally I am so embarrassed to go back and re-read what I've written that I end up burning them... I have a yearly journal for each of my kids though, where I sit down on their birthday and try to encapsulate what has happened for them and my hopes and fears for them. I have plans that, when/if they leave home I'll give it to them as a going away gift.

You guys are soooo gay.

Steve Wagenheim - How to Use a Journal

Sit down and write a 500 word article about yourself. It must be EXACTLY
500 words with 4 paragraphs, each one 125 words exactly.

After you have written the article about yourself, try the exercise with
the following topics:

1. Your favorite sport
2. Your favorite food
3. Your favorite TV show
4. Your favorite movie

And any others you can think of.
