This may be a dumbass question and belong in the newb section, but I'm wondering if there's a way to include javascript in PDF's.

I want to put an adwords referral in it, and f'n google's bitch asses only offer the code in javascript.

Thanks,

-Scott

Thanks for the tip, here's another asshat question.

I can do a php redirect to the adwords sign up and have the javascript still track the referral?

Any tips on how to do it?

Thanks.

I remember a guy who was doing something where he would bid on keywords like download Firefox and then would redirect them through his javascript referral code, but I can't remember what he was using, was pure genius though, was banking like $1k/day for ages

He was phrasing out the acutal referral link? Isnt that against adsense TOS?

Okay guys, please excuse my non techie mentality. I really don't have much of an understanding of javascript tracking.

Confused Soul Or anyone else,

Redirecting via PHP. My guess is you're saying I should implement my javascript on a page, click the link while not signed into google, grab the referral link that it spits out when it goes to the adwords sign up page, and use this link as the redirect? Am I guessing this correctly?

Is this cool with google? Would the link consistently work or do they dynamically change it everytime?

Once again, I appreciate it. +rep to anyone who can clarify this for me.

Hate to bump this, but I'd really like to know. So I get my adwords referral link, right click it, copy the link in the properties, put a link in the pdf to my redirect page, and use this link as the redirect... would will google credit me for the referral this way?

Thanks,

Scott

I thought of that, I havent tested it, but I figure its gotta be harder than just copying the link, or else google may as well give you the regular old text link.

I'm planning on testing out a similar version of the "download firefox" campaign... I'll see what I come up with.
