I've been out of affiliate marketing for a decade. How do I quickly come up to speed?

I was in affiliate marketing between 2004-2008 and made some good money with it. Most of it was through Amazon and some through Clickbank and others.

I've been out of the affiliate marketing scene for a decade, and want to catch up on what I've missed (back in the day, for example, social network advertising still wasn't a thing, I did mostly SEO and Adwords).

Can you recommend a good ebook or online resource for quickly getting up to speed? Not a newbie ebook but something for people with some experience, that surveys all the possibilities available today in a concentrated manner.

Thanks guys!

you should sign yourself up in a platform where you can meet the prospects of your niche. there are plenty of tools that'll provide you with this facility. dm me if you want me to send link. i don't think posting links is allowed here.

my experience with ebooks is that they will NOT give you the important tips... Sometimes you just need ONE hack to make your affiliate marketing succesful. Or if some ebooks gives you that information, it's lost in the middle of 100 other infos that are pretty much useless. Once again, it's my experience, not saying this is the ultimate truth
My advice : search by yourself, try some hacks and eventually you'll find something that works

I'd recommend heading down to one of the multitude of digital marketing seminars available now. Nothing beats direct networking, gossiping and mingling. You'd gain more insight in a couple of hours vs any ebook or course.

The fact that you need to ask, makes me wonder because nothing has changed with affiliate marketing...

It is the same game it's always been. Same strategies, same tactics all towards one end, which is; 'Buiding an email list' ...SEO and Adwords will only give you blisters on your fingers as the ROI for your effort is pitiful...

Let me ask you! When fishing, where do you go? ...Where the fish are feeding of course... So, concentrate on creating a product and sell it as a W.S.O's - Which is by far the quickest way known to man to 'Build a list' PERIOD!

sign up to an established aff network - ask account manager for a top offer (depends with source you want to run it on) - run traffic - boom.

dont buy ebooks, this mindset is already outdated.. start by watching fresh youtube reviews and tips and get back into action!

I won't recommend you buying ebooks, either you should go and read some good bloggers guide like Neil Patel or Backlinko. You can also watch webinars for affiliate marketing.

Sign up with some top affiliate networks and start promoting their hot offers. Before that you should go through some good affiliate marketing blogs to make clear all your doubts.

It also increase the likelihood of success as affiliates are often vetted They put their strategies in motion an any sales that come through their other argue that a network should also be included in this make up. As an affiliate to you work out with the merchant exactly how to will determine profit. One interesting field to affiliate marketing that i had a lot of hell even on page one advertisers are willing to shell out the big how to speed up your site and make up more money.

The topic is quite old, but still, I am really interested to know if you maaged to get back and what your results are so far. What network did you choose to work with? Did you stay in the same vertical and traffic source or you try to test something new?

I know by my own experience that getting back to affiliate marketing after a big time gap is painful - a lot of now traffic platform/sources appeared as well as new ways of promotion, tools, etc. But it's quite possible to catch up!
