Is this a good idea for a website?

I want to setup a site where people can view the full versions of a tv show online. But I'm too cheap to spend the 10$ on a domain name. Should I just go with a free hosting site? Or what?


Also does anyone know which video websites allow private videos, meaning that they can't be viewed in the search results but can be viewed by people visiting my site? I need this to prevent the videos from being removed too quickly.

I would be monetizing by linking to dvd sites. Adsense as well. I would do this only for shows where such a site doesn't already exist.

No, you need a large bandwidth for your idea. So using a free hosting site, I don't think you can get that amount of bandwidth required by showing video online. Of course it depends on your traffic as well. If only 1 or 2 people visit your website, it may still be ok. However, if you are looking for more traffic daily. Free hosting won't work for you

If you use WordPress I believe there is a setting to deny / allow pages to show up in search engines. Or you could manually edit .htaccess to stop search crawlers one by one, if you run Apache and have access to the .htaccess file. Those are just a couple of ideas.
