*Is there any recommended readings to *UNDERSTAND* some general terms used in IM?!
FUCK! that title doesn't even look like English
Okay. So basically I found this forum about 3 weeks ago and I've been spending at least 5-8 hours every day absorbing as much as I can. I previously had some basic knowledge of SEO as well as some experience in web design. I think this site is awesome and can't stop reading case studies and various other posts. It's helped a ton.
I'm sure I'll get flamed for this, but I pretty much got a good grasp on what the general concept is, although I still need to figure out some more of the details.
Like for example, I somewhat understand what backlinking does, but not exactly how it works, like if it's just in a comment post, or if you pay someone to link to your site in their blog post...
I see about using DFB and other programs to increase backlinks, but I don't want to screw it up and get penalized.
I still gotta figure out what everyone means when they discuss the advantages of Web 2.0, Pinging, Backlinks sticking, Blogrolling, when to use Proxies, etc.
I got a pretty good idea of what software to use by reading case studies and a ton of posts, but I still wanna figure out how everything works before I just blindly jump in. If anyone knows where I can find more about these terms and maybe more I left out that would be awesome.
Also, boobs.
