IMO hostgator and bluehost are best in terms of hosting.They have decent price ,user friendly and good customer support.

Well I have been using Hostgator for my multiple WordPress based clients but in long run these hosting get slow which is quite natural because resources are shared with multiple users. Franking speaking for static website these are most cost effective solution but for generating leads its not good choice. Never really heard of this before, there aren't hosts that are faster and better than this? I work with a couple of hosts with decent uplink and SSD and with near 0 downtime. I think its a matter of personal preference.
