Is Joomla faster than WordPress?



Its depend with your setting up when build a site. Many factor influence your site speed, such as :
- hosting provider
- theme use
- caching setting up
- content
- and many more factor that maybe you are facing related the speed
 
WordPress is known for its quick installation process and Joomla is also very similar to WordPress.wordpress is having many themes and plugins and Joomla also offers many templates and extensions that can achieve many things on the web. Wordpress is intuitive and simple in content management whereas, content management is for complex projects for Joomla. Wordpress and Joomla are safe in security purposes.
 
The basic difference between WordPress and Joomla is that Joomla started out as a CMS meant to serve portal-like websites, while WordPress was originally a blog-focused platform. These days, however, both WordPress and Joomla are perfectly capable to run any type of website.
 
Wordpress is much better option when it comes to content management. Fast installation, easy to access. Lots of tutorials around the web in case you are having any trouble.
 
Joomla is very similar to WordPress. It’s also a free open-source popular content manager that anyone can download and install. On the CMS market, Joomla comes in second place after WordPress.

The first release of Joomla was in 2005. Joomla started as CMS design for websites that need login forms and memberships. However, it evolved to support almost any type of website.
 
They are just different, each of them have their pros and cons. You can't compare them by speed, it depends on your settings and content, so you can use any and make your site fast.
 
I can get some pretty insanely fast load/speed times on my WP websites with some simple optimizations and once you do this it really doesn't matter what CMS you use. With the right plugins your visitors won't know or care if you use WP or Joomla.
 
It all depends on the hosting on which the site is located. The differences in speed are not particularly noticeable, it's better to pay attention to good high-speed hosting
 
It all depends on how you create. And the site on Joomla and WP can be equally awful or perfectly display everything you need. Use best practices and optimize its performance)
