Is Expression Engine a good CMS?

I am thinking about possibly getting a commercial license for Espression Engine.

I am not familiar with it but I heard some good comments so far.

Anyone here have experience with it?

How is the learning curve?

Is it SEO friendly?

Is this a hackers paradise like Joomla?

I looked around and not many templates are available, so I guess I will have to create from scratch.

Expression Engine, like every EllisLabs product I've ever used is top notch.

But before you go out and drop the cash on a commercial license why not download the free version and play around with it? See what you think?

I myself have nothing but good things to say about it.

I really like CodeIgniter and if the EE community is similar, you should not worry too much about security holes being left open. Download the core and try it out.
