Hi,

One or more of your ads has been disabled for not being in compliance with our Advertising Terms. We reserve the right to determine what advertising we accept, and we may choose to not accept ads containing or relating to certain products or services. We will not allow the creation of any further Facebook Ads like those that were removed. We appreciate your cooperation with this policy.

Advertisements for Subscription Services must comply with the conditions noted below and as determined by Facebook in its sole discretion. “Subscription Services” may include sites that promote downloading ringtones, wallpaper, or text messages for predictions, love life advice, news, personality quizzes, or other entertainment services, or any site that induces a user to sign up for recurring billing of a product or service.

Subscription Services conditions:

1. The promoted website must clearly and accurately display the price and billing interval (such as per week or once per month) on the landing page as well as any page that prompts a user for personal information (including, but not limited to, name, email address or phone number) or billing information (including, but not limited to, mobile phone number or credit card number).

2. If users sign up to your service by transmitting a code by text message, the price and billing interval must be clearly and prominently displayed beside the code.

3. If your service is a subscription, you must provide a prominent opt-in checkbox or other clear mechanism indicating that the user knowingly accepts the price and subscription service. This should be on the first page the user enters personal data, and the user should not be able to proceed without opting in.

4. All of the foregoing items should be located in a prominent place on your webpage, as determined by Facebook in its sole discretion, and should be easy to find, read, and understand.

The creation of further ads for these prohibited products may result in your account being disabled.

Thanks for your understanding,

The Facebook Ads Team

Great job facebook.. you just lost thousands and thousands of dollars a day in ad spend.

Congrats.. I hope those 4 people who voted on ads were worth it.

No wonder I'm getting so many cheap clicks and impressions today for that demo.
What great news, I hope all those "how many triangles" ads die a slow and painful death.

When my entire damn adboard is the same Obama/IQ ad, of course someone's going to take notice.

If all of you clowns hadn't copied the same ad and instead thought of creative ways to advertise on FB, everything would still be allowed and the industry as a whole wouldn't suffer.

Just look at the crap ads that are left on FB right now (besides a few people slipping grants and diet through) and it doesn't take a genius to figure out FB will be hurting again very soon and changing their policies once again. I mean these crappy ads and services can't have either a decent CTR or a decent bid compared all the stuff they recently banned all over again. It's only a matter of time.

No subscription services? WTF isn't a subscription these days?

Looks like they would rather see "legitimate" ebooks I guess.

Yep, all disabled off my account too. Just cloak them in.

I've also been having a hard time getting non-US ads approved, because the approval team is viewing a different landing page than what the actual demographics will see. I was told by my FB rep to submit at a certain time for this specific demographic so the approval team in that area would be able to review the correct LP.

It's not completely about people complaining and voting the ads down though. Part of the problem could be that FB was overrun with IQ and quiz ads which quickly could turn the audience blind to the ads (notice how FB decided to switch up the ad layouts after killing off grants). Ad blindness = lower CTR = lower revenue in the long run.

After that dumbshit policy change that allowed all of the ads in and then turning and saying that they were going to work with the FTC to see who was running the ads..

It is like having a psycho girlfriend.. stay away.. far far away..

I think it's more about facebooks uptight guidelines than banner blindness or anything else and always has been. They didn't allow IQ and Mobile stuff way before FB was littered with those type of ads. The only time they relaxed their guidelines was when they freaked out over their horrible revenue numbers a few weeks ago and now revenue must be back up so they are back to their anal retentive ways again, for the moment anyway.

What, are you trying to say that "IT Support" and "149€ Formula 1 Tickets" ads aren't top performers for both Facebook and the Advertiser? My world has been shattered.

But yeah, completely useless ads left now.
